Journalists may apply for passes to the G8 Environment Meeting, to be held in Syracuse on 22-23-24 April 2009, through the online media accreditation system.

Accreditation to the G8 Environment Meeting is not automatic. Applications must first be screened and passed by the Ministero dell’Ambiente e della Tutela del Territorio e del Mare (Italian Ministry for the Environment).

Once your request has been approved, you will receive an e-mail confirming registration with information on where to collect your pass badge.

Applications for a media pass to the G8 Environment Meeting are open until Thursday 16 April 2009. No further applications will be accepted beyond that date.

Failure to complete the application form in all its parts may result in your request being rejected.

Those who require an entry visa for Italy should apply to their local Italian consulate or embassy, enclosing, besides the required documentation, their online application receipt.

Any personal information collected by the system will be processed in accordance with the data protection legislation.
